Condos on the Stratton Common
The Commons Condos are close to the Stratton Village. Many of them, such as the Long Trail Houses and the Village Chalets are an easy walk to the Village and Slopes. Stratton will be developing the Commons as a place for skating and enjoying the winter evening. Right now, it still has some work that is reaquired.
From some of the Commons Condos, there is a very short shuttle to the slopes. We really like this option. You may for example, take the shuttle to the slopes and then walk back at the end of the day. In this catagory are Fox Chapel, Founders Lodge, Hearthstone Lodge, Rising Bear and Village Chalets.
This is a draft and we will have more information up in the winter of 2009 on the "Commons Area Condos".

Founders Lodge
The Founders Lodge condos are large two and three bedroom units that were builg around 2006. They all have modern kitchens, beautiful tile baths and quality ammenities. They have well appointed living rooms with gas fireplaces.
They are located across the street from the Village and are on the far side of the Commons. They have private underground parking and air conditioning. It is an easy 10 minute walk (for adults) from these units to the Stratton Village. For children with skis, there are a bunch of steps (about 20) to climb up between the Long Trail units. A shuttle is available and the best way to get to the slope in the morning.
In the evening, you can relax in your own heated outdoor pool by the Lodge entrance.
