Founders Lodge
The Founders condominium complex is in a new large beige building on the Stratton Commons right across from the Long Trail units. There are 47 condos that were built in 2006, in the Tyrol Wing.
There is another wing planned, the Birken wing, which shold be constructed in a few years when there is a rising Real Estate market. That will be the last development in the Commons.
The Founders Lodge condos are beautiful. They are really luxury for ski condos. They have open kitchens, gas fireplaces and views of the Stratton Mountain Commons or the valley below. Features are:
-
underground heated parking,
-
granite kitchen countertops and black appliances,
-
a year round outside swimming pool and hot tub,
-
private work out room and kid's game room,
-
covered entrance area,
-
air conditioning - a desirable feature at Stratton for the few hot days between July and late August.

Details on the Founders Lodge Condos
The Founders Lodge condos are large one, two, three or four bedroom units. Some have an additional loft. They range from 780 sq. ft. to to 2,800 sq. ft. They rent from $700 to $1,500 per night holiday, and are favorites of those who want a new luxury unit, just steps (albeit a bunch of steps) away from the village.
There is a convenient shuttle that stops right at the Founder's Lodge. The Stratton Village is a short walk in the summer. It can be a long walk to the slope in the winter, expecially if you are carrying all your kid's skis. For this reason, a convenient shuttle is often the best choice, but it is nice to have the convenience of being able to walk also.

| One really windy day, I did not ski so went to take pictures of the Founders lodge. I only went as far as the Long Trail Porch. Click the picture above to see more about the wind at Stratton. |

Founders Location
The Founders Lodge condos are located at the base of the Stratton Village Commons. This is a beautiful, ideal location. They condos have either a Commons view, facing West towards Stratton Mountain or a Valley view.
The entrance to the garage is a left off the access road (coming into the Stratton Village) past the Long Trail House. You turn between the Long Trail House and the old Lift Line Lodge. About 700 feet down the road, the entrance is on the left.
It is an easy walk for adults to get to the Stratton Village from Founders Lodge, shown on the right of the picture. The only problems occur on windy or icy days. There are a lot of steps between the Long Trail Units. However, in the winter, there is a convient shuttle that stops in the front of Founders and brings you right to the Stratton base lodge.
