Imagine, a Perfect Day on the Stratton Slopes
Last ski run from the top of Stratton Mountain, Vermont
It's the end of a great day.

Just think about it.  You made that last ski lift with a minute to spare.  The wind has picked up.

The URSA lift closed at 3:30 and you were on the last chair with your youngest child.  You're at the top of Stratton Mountain, Vermont, with only a few skiers and snowboarders around.

You're both a little cold ... no, you're very cold.  But the snow is great and the day was great.  And it is winter in Vermont.

Now it is getting late ... and you are getting tired ... and are ready to ski home.

You can see your condo from the mountain.

You are looking for the Upper and Lower Tamarack Trails, which bring you down to the Villager lift beginner area. You're not certain where you are, but you know how to make it back to the base lodge.

Then the clouds depart for a second and you see the village and your ski-in condo. So you just start down any slope towards the Stratton Village.

Your condo is to the right of the Village.

Then you see the clock tower to the left, so you stay to the right.  Somehow you wound up close to the gondola. That's O.K., because you cut over through the base of the beginner slopes and you are there.

You're hungry.  You're thirsty.  You're thinking, maybe you'll walk over to Mulligans for dinner.

But first, you want warm up and share hot chocolate by the fire with your family.

Just when you get back, the sun comes out.  The Villager lift is still open, because you made it down in 15 minutes.

You look up and see the rest of your family.  They caught the last 4:00 chair.

You take off your skis and walk to your home.  You both are glad you are inside, because you get the closest spot next to the fire.
